EDUCATION
NJAJ helps members stay current on the law and advance their practices with an ongoing calendar of stimulating seminars, dynamic hands-on workshops and online resources. Our programs are recognized for New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania CLE credits.
Continuing Legal Education
A cornerstone of NJAJ's mission is to advance the education and skills of its members. Our Boardwalk Seminar® and Meadowlands Seminar® feature over 24 concurrent seminars on subjects such as personal injury, matrimonial, employment, workers' compensation and criminal law for both attorneys and support staff. Periodic seminars, on such topics as the new auto insurance law and tort law updates are offered to keep members on the cutting edge of new developments and legislation affecting their practice. Seminar Web
A nationwide online seminar service and archive for plaintiff lawyers created by participating state trial lawyer associations, including NJAJ. You can access seminar papers, articles, and speeches in audio format and discussion forums for each program, both past NJAJ seminars and those from other Trial Lawyer Associations around the country.

List Servers
NJAJ offers List Servers for 12 different practice areas plus an allied support staff list. If you join a List Server, you can e-mail questions about your cases, inquiries about experts and announcements that may be helpful to other members. When you join a List, you can send one e-mail to a specific e-mail address and your message is instantly e-mailed to every other NJAJ member on the List. It's like having 800 partners who can all be e-mailed at the same time for advice.

On June 25, 2025 the NJAJ Educational Foundation presented the Exposing Deceptive Defense Medicine 2025 seminar.
Registrants of that meeting received a link to Dropbox containing 5,500 defense reports and transcripts of DME depositions as well as video depositions of more than 60 defense experts.
The link to Dropbox also includes materials from the 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021 & 2023 seminars. These materials are only available to Regular Members* (see definition below) of NJAJ at a cost of $595 plus tax.
These depositions and reports are normally sold for $30 each (a $50,000 value).

*A Regular Member is an attorney, who, for the most part, represents the plaintiff in personal injury cases.
ADVOCACY
Demonstrating that the sum is truly greater than its parts, NJAJ actively advocates for its members and their clients through lobbying at the state level and Amicus involvement in relevant cases.
Government Relations
Our Governmental Relations staff lobbies aggressively at the state level to protect the legal rights of the injured person; reduce auto insurance costs and create a fairer system for all New Jersey drivers by repeal of the No-Fault system; hold HMOs accountable for the medical decisions they make; and promote a safer environment at home, at work and at play.Members may contact us for:

Amicus Activity
NJAJ advocates for you and your clients in the Courthouses. Our Amicus Committee and members of NJAJ participate in a significant number of important cases at both the Appellate level and in the Supreme Court for the benefit of NJAJ members and your clients. Amicus involvement in cases including Perreira v. Rediger, Lowe v. Zarghami, Miller v. Sperling, Cornblatt v. Dunphy, Burns v. Belafsky and Miller v. Estate are indicative of the outstanding work of the NJAJ members who advocate pro bono for the betterment of the civil justice system.NJAJ advocates in the courts on important issues such as the JUA and AICRA regulations when necessary.
NJAJ PAC
The NJAJ PAC is the political action committee of the New Jersey Association for Justice. Contributions to PAC are used to support candidates in state legislative races. Issues such as auto insurance reform, medical negligence, consumer rights and other issues of concern to members of NJAJ are part of our agenda in Trenton. Click here to join the NJAJ PAC.
