Five NJAJ members are serving as the association’s designees on six New Jersey Supreme Court Committees.

“It is important that the Supreme Court hear from our perspective as trial lawyers as various rule proposals and amendments are made and considered,” said NJAJ President Patricia M. Giordano, Esq. “I am grateful all of them are representing NJAJ.”

Last month Giordano nominated NJAJ 1st Vice President Jonathan H. Lomurro to serve as NJAJ’s designee on the newly created Committee on Artificial Intelligence in the Courts.

Lomurro has lectured extensively on the use of technology in the legal profession both in New Jersey and nationally. He is the author of Dropping the Digital Anchor: Preparing and Presenting Your Case with Technology

Lomurro also is NJAJ’s designee on the Supreme Court Civil Practice Committee.

The other NJAJ members serving as the association’s designees on other Supreme Court committees are:

  • Michael G. Donahue, III, Esq. – Jury Selection in Civil and Criminal Trials Committee;
  • Tommie Ann Gibney – Model Civil Jury Charge Committee
  • Patricia M. Giordano, Esq. – Gender in the Courts Committee; and
  • Francisco J. Rodriguez, Esq. – Diversity, Inclusion and Community Engagement Committee.

“I applaud all of our committee designees for their continued service to NJAJ,” Giordano said. “I am pleased that the Supreme Court has recognized the value of NJAJ’s input.”
