New Jersey's 2026 Primary Election Day is today, Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Polling locations across the state will are open today from 6:00 am – 8:00 pm.
Voters who are in line by 8:00 pm have the right to vote, and polling places will remain open until the last voter in line by 8:00 pm has casted a ballot.

Who Can Vote in New Jersey's 2026 Primary:
New Jersey conducts a closed primary, which means only registered members of a political party may vote in that party's primary.
Unaffiliated voters may participate only if they declare a party affiliation at the polling place before voting.
Registered Republicans and Democrats cannot switch parties on Primary Election Day.
