Get to know members of the NJAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus.

Amanda R. Freyer, Esq. is an associate in the Accident & Personal Injury Group at Stark & Stark, where she represents individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, construction site accidents, burn injuries, and cases involving sexual assault.

Before joining Stark & Stark, Amanda served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Benjamin D. Morgan, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Gloucester and Salem Counties.

Q: What year did you join NJAJ?

A: 2023

Q: Why did you join NJAJ?

A: I joined NJAJ to be surrounded by fellow plaintiff trial attorneys who are equally committed to advocating for justice, and to learn from and collaborate with some of the best practitioners in the state.

Q: Why did you become involved in the WTLC?

I became involved with the WTLC to connect with and learn from other women trial attorneys who are navigating many of the same challenges and triumphs. Having a supportive network of women to exchange insights and champion one another’s successes is invaluable.

Q: Why did you become a lawyer?

A: I’ve always had an interest in the legal field, and I knew early on that I was meant to do work that meaningfully helped others. I initially went to college to become a paralegal because I was hesitant to commit to law school. But over time, I realized I wouldn’t feel fulfilled until I took on the responsibility of advocating for clients as an attorney, and the only thing standing in my way was myself. Once I realized that, I took the leap and never looked back.

Q: What is your favorite book?

A: The Housemaid or The Inmate by Freida McFadden. I love a good psychological thriller!

Q: What is your favorite quote?

A: "Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud." - Maya Angelou.
