For the 21st consecutive year, members of the New Jersey Association for Justice, Inc. (NJAJ) united to support families across the state through the annual Turkey Drive. This long‑standing tradition reflects NJAJ’s deep commitment to strengthening communities and ensuring that no family goes without a holiday meal.
This year’s drive raised more than $20,000 in donations from NJAJ members and friends. Contributions were divided equally among six dedicated hunger‑relief partners:
-
Center for Food Action
-
Community Food Bank of New Jersey
-
Food Bank of South Jersey
-
Interfaith Food Pantry
-
Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges
-
Mercer Street Friends
NJAJ extends a special thank‑you to Valarie Anderson, Deputy Director of the Center for Food Action, who joined the WTLC Women Litigators Luncheon at Meadowlands Seminar® 2025 to accept a donation on behalf of CFA.
We are also grateful for the leadership of our regional Turkey Drive Co‑Chairs:
Northern Region: E. Drew Britcher, Esq., Scott G. Leonard, Esq., and Lawrence M. Simon, Esq.
Central Region: Abbott S. Brown, Esq., Jeffrey S. Monaghan, Esq., and Sherri L. Warfel, Esq.
Southern Region: David J. Karbasian, Esq. and Michelle C. Murtha, Esq.
In addition to the Turkey Drive, NJAJ continues to support charitable initiatives throughout the year. The NJAJ Minority Trial Lawyers Caucus proudly sponsors an annual coat drive and First Night Kit Collections—both benefiting individuals and families across New Jersey through Jersey Cares.
These efforts ensure that community members not only have food on the table, but also the essential items they need to stay warm, safe, and supported during their time of need.
