As 2025 draws to a close, I want to extend my gratitude to this dynamic community for your continued commitment to strengthening the practice of New Jersey’s plaintiff attorneys.

Over the past year, NJAJ has offered countless opportunities that reinforce our association’s role as a leading voice in preserving and advancing justice in our state. That reputation is rooted in the fellowship, dedication to education, and tireless advocacy demonstrated every day by our members.

As we head into the final weeks of the year, NJAJ is actively monitoring the many bills moving through the current “lame duck” legislative session, which will continue until the new Legislature is sworn in this January.

One of the most urgent issues before us is Uber‑backed Bill No. 6147, legislation that would reduce mandatory Underinsured/Uninsured Motorist (UM/UIM) coverage for Transportation Network Companies from the current $1,500,000 per accident to the state minimum of just $25,000. NJAJ will continue to lobby vigorously against this bill and will keep the membership fully informed as developments unfold.

As we continue this critical advocacy work, we also look ahead with excitement at the progress we’ve made and what’s on the horizon.

We are still riding the wave of excitement from Meadowlands Seminar 2025, held just last month, which brought together more than 800 attendees over three days and featured 23 dynamic programs—an opportunity to earn over 22.0 MCLE credits. I want to thank every presenter, attendee, and sponsor who helped make it such a success.

Speaking of waves, our momentum continues as we turn toward our next major gathering: Boardwalk Seminar 2026, which will take place at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City from Wednesday, April 26 to Friday, May 1, 2026.

We are currently accepting presentation proposals, and I strongly encourage members to share their ideas, expertise, and innovative approaches to trial practice. Your contributions shape the quality of our seminars and ensure that NJAJ remains the premier source of continuing legal education for plaintiff attorneys in our state.
