Spring is officially upon us and that means our work at NJAJ is ramping up as we prepare for our many upcoming events.

First, congratulations once again to all the award recipients at last month's Awards Dinner. It was my pleasure to emcee the event and introduce many of the awardees. Thanks to the Awards Committee and NJAJ staff for their work. If you missed the event you can watch the video here.

The Women's Trial Lawyers Caucus (WTLC) held their Roundtable on Wednesday, March 5. There was a good turn-out with about half the participants being solo practitioners and many presenting during the hour-long Roundtable.

The WTLC is an important and active committee, and the Roundtable is an opportunity for attorneys to seek input and share insights on cases. It is a free event open to all NJAJ Regular Members. If you missed the last one, consider joining the next one on June 4. To register, click this link.

In addition, the WTLC will be hosting its Women Litigators' Luncheon at the Boardwalk Seminar® on Thursday, May 1, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The keynote speaker will be Elyse Robbins, Associate Director and Global Learning Strategic Business Partner at Ernst & Young. To learn more about Elyse and the Women Litigators' Luncheon, please visit the information page.

Boardwalk Seminar® will take place next month, from Wednesday, April 30, through Friday, May 2, at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. We will have 29 programs featuring more than 275 local, regional, and top national speakers, as well as more than 221 exhibitors. Follow the links for more information on Boardwalk programs and schedules, floor plans, and our sponsors. Register today!

Also, make your hotel reservation now if you have not already done so. All attendees will receive a reduced room block rate, but you must book by Sunday, March 30. Visit the Harrah's or Caesars hotel reservation page to get your special rate.

The Nominating Committee met on Wednesday, March 19, and Monday, March 24, to select the slate of 2025-2026 officers. The slate will be sent to the membership on or before Tuesday, April 1 (30 days prior to the election on May 1).

I'm excited to announce that NJAJ's first annual Family Day is planned for Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Roosevelt Park in Edison, NJ. This was one of my goals as NJAJ President and I'm thrilled that it's being realized. More information will be shared once it is available. In the meantime, tickets and sponsorship are now available so please click here to register and click here to sponsor

EDDM 2025: Exposing Deceptive Defense Medicine is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ. One of the major benefits of the program is that all attendees receive copies of defense doctor reports, depositions, and trial transcripts that can be invaluable when cross-examining these doctors. Consider attending to gain access to this wealth of information.

The Installation Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ. Please buy a ticket and place an ad in the Tribute Journal to congratulate all incoming officers.

As always, I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.
