Get to know members of the NJAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus.

Megan P. Gable is a partner with Ferrara & Gable and focuses her practice on all varieties of personal injury cases and has a special interest in nursing home and long-term care negligence and abuse. She earned both her law degree (2014) and her B.A. (2006) from Temple University. Go Owls! She is a Trustee of the Camden County Bar Foundation, co-chair of the Burlington County Bar Association and a proud member of both NJAJ and AAJ.

Q. What year did you join NJAJ?
A. 2015 (within the year after I passed the bar exam)

Q. Why did you join NJAJ?
A. As is shared by my partner Mike Ferrara at practically every NJAJ seminar, I stumbled ungracefully into law after working for a few years as his paralegal, and NOT becoming a veterinarian (there's still hope).  When I became a lawyer it didn't even occur to me that there was an option where I would not be an NJAJ member. I became a member nearly immediately and know that I would not be where I am today without NJAJ and the friends and mentors I have come to cherish.

Q. Why did you become involved in the WTLC?
A. The incredible women of the WTLC welcomed me and I hope we continue to welcome all new women lawyers that join NJAJ. THEY encouraged my participation and growth straight away. Specific shout-outs to Trish Giordano, Rachel Placitella, Jacci Vigilante and Nancy Erika Smith for their friendship and mentorship - as well as my friends who have grown with me both professionally and personally along with way.

Q. Why did you become a lawyer?
A. It is VERY hard to get into vet school :)

Q. What do you like to do in your free time?
A. I don't see a lot of free time, and like early post-college interviews, I'd like to say I "read books" or "enjoy hiking outdoors," but truly what little time is not spent at the office or serving my tiny masters [children] is spent binge-watching bad TV and doom-scrolling Instagram.

Q. What is your favorite quote?
A: “It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.” - Tom Hanks as Jimmy Duggan in a League of Their Own.
