With February about to end, I’d like to remind you all that the 8th Annual NJAJ Awards Dinner is taking place on Thursday, the 27th, at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ. Cocktail hour will begin at 6:00 pm and the dinner will start at 7:00 pm.
Please register and come out to help honor the awardees who will be receiving the Gold Medal for Distinguished Service, the Professional Lawyer of the Year Award, the Meyer-Segal Award, and the Gerald B. O’Connor Award. In addition, we will be recognizing the Amicus Advocates whose efforts have been invaluable in cases that have been decided since last February. This is a great opportunity to show support and give thanks to those members who continue to advance the cause of the organization and to protect the rights of New Jersey citizens.
Very soon after the Awards Dinner will be the next Women Trial Lawyers Caucus (WTLC) Roundtable on Wednesday, March 5. The event will take place from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm over Zoom. It is free to Regular Members and offers an opportunity to have questions on your cases answered. The WTLC will also be hosting the 31st Annual Women Litigators Luncheon at Boardwalk Seminar® 2025 in April. Details are pending. All are welcome to attend every WTLC event. If you can’t make this roundtable, the next one is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4.
I’d also like to remind everyone that the Nominating Committee has been formed and NJAJ is seeking nominations for 2025-2026 officers. Please click here to be considered or email info@nj-justice.org to nominate someone in good standing. All nominations are due by Friday, March 7. Please click here for more information.
Once all nominations are received, the Nominating Committee will present a slate of officers for election to NJAJ members 30 days prior to the Annual Election, which will be held on Thursday, May 1. The Installation Dinner will follow in June. More details to come.
Finally, Boardwalk Seminar® 2025 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, through Friday, May 2, at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. Registration is now open. Check the website as programs will be added as they become available. Click here to make your reservation at Harrah's and here to view the exhibit hall.
We have a lot to look forward to, starting with the Awards Dinner. I hope to see you all there.
