Meet Heidi Ruth Weintraub, Esq.
Heidi is a partner at the law firm of Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins. She is a civil trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience in legal matters. Her background includes significant experience in complex civil litigation representing clients in both state and federal courts. Heidi specializes in employment law, school bullying and professional malpractice.
She is a member of the NJAJ Board of Governors and a co-chair of the NJAJ Employment Law Section.
Heidi received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and earned her Juris Doctorate from the American University School of Law.
Q. When did you join NJAJ?
A. I joined in 2013.
Q. Why did you join NJAJ?
A. I had been a plaintiff’s employment attorney in the private sector for a long period of time and I wanted to align myself with an organization that shared my visions.
Q. Why did you become involved in the WTLC?
A. I wanted to surround myself with strong female trial lawyers who are positive role models and who devote their time to advancing NJAJ’s mission.
Q. What do you like to do in your free time?
A. I am an avid marathon runner and as such, I like to run in my spare time. I have run 61 full marathons. My favorite is the Big Sur Marathon in California. My best time is 3 hours, 25 minutes. I also like to read crime novels and socialize with my friends and family.
Q. What is your favorite movie?
A. The Way We Were. I love that movie for so many reasons but especially because I have always identified with Barbara Streisand’s character.
Q. Why did you decide to become a lawyer?
A. I became a lawyer because of my drive to help others in need and because I have always loved the art of debate.
